Honestly, the article "Germany's Patriotism Problem" surprised and saddened me. I can barely believe the effect that Nazism is still having on modern day deutschland! I could not imagine saying that I don't love my country and its horrible that deutsche feel that they must say that they do not love their country.
As for the attitude that deutsche hold toward their neighbors, it reminds me of my home town in some ways, though I feel that the Germans would be more strict about their rules than my home town. As for German bureaucracy, I think that they have lost their minds! Organization is great, but records as far back as kindergarten? That seems a bit excessive.
