Kultur 10 - Abigail Orrick

Dinner for Who:
As I was reading this I was actually comparing it in my mind to Rocky Horror Picture Show before they mentioned it. It definitely sounds like a cult classic that is really only still watched because it's tradition. It also reminds me of all of those movies that one is bombarded with during the Christmas season like It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, and a Christmas Story. I watched the video and got bored pretty easily though...but then again I love The Sound of Music which many people can't stand.

Sorry, We're Closed:
UGH this is so annoying to me, especially because I grew up in a town where everything closed early on Saturdays and not a lot was open on Sundays. The next biggest town to me actually passed a law that banned selling alcohol on Sundays which obviously aggravated all the town alcoholics. But really, at least for me as a student, I'm so exhausted at the end of the week that I end up sleeping most of Saturday, and then I'm ready to run errands on Sunday. I'd be so mad if nothing was open.

Booze Brothers:
I don't know...this sounds a lot like my town on Father's Day.
Just kidding, even though most of the dads and sons just go out and get drunk together while hunting illegally or something. I would probably just take the advice of the writer and just watch the chaos from my house.
