AMD 4 - Abigail Orrick

So right before break I discovered this German DJ who calls himself Wankelmut who's pretty cool and created this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRAMNWzfjcg

I decided to read a bit more about him and it's a crazy story. Basically he was this university student just fooling around in his dorm room one night and remixing the original version of the song by Asaf Avidan. He uploaded it to his soundcloud and it exploded in popularity eventually topping the charts in all around Europe. I went to his soundcloud and the comments on his songs ranged from: "Bestes Lied Ever" to "Ich Liebe Es" to "So geil."

The only thing I wonder though is why he only remixes songs in English. I went to his site hoping to find songs in German that I could listen to and translate but I couldn't find very many.

I finally watched this interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKk4NvwQ5wI. I did try to cover up the English subtitles and understand his speaking, but I did find it kind of difficult (I think I'm out of practice). I mostly picked up random vocabulary words--like I knew that he was talking about being busy and the things he was doing on the weekends and the week before, but I couldn't figure out exactly what he did unless I looked at the subtitles.
