Kultur 10: Gertrude Daly

The article that I found most interesting was "Sorry, We’re Closed: The Challenge of Spending Money in Germany". I have fond memories of randomly making cookies at two in the morning with my sister. Inevitable we would find out we don't have enough butter or eggs for your triple batch, so we would have to go to the grocery store,at 2 in the morning. Let me just say, in case you haven't yet had the pleasure of visiting Kroger at two in the morning, It is really fun. We would run down all the Aisles and do cartwheels. Two in the morning grocery store trips are awesome.

Only second bested by the ten at night and your friend just broke up with her boyfriend and you need massive amounts of junk food and cookie dough. How are you suppose to do that in Germany? Do guys just make sure they break up with girls during store hours. Because everyone knows if a girl doesn't get into a sugar coma with in an hour of a break up.... she will get violent.

So back to what i was saying, there always seems to be this need for random grocery store items in the middle of the night/early morning and how are you suppose to get them if the stores are closed.
