Reading about the Berlin Wall and how the tearing down of it was perceived by East and West Berliners was very interesting. I was surprised to hear that stereotypes still existed between the sides, and that some would rather live in a divided Berlin rather than a unified one. I think the idea that there is a term for East Nostalgia in Germany is kind of funny but at the same time very strange. Part of me thinks it makes sense though, since after the reunification of Germany most of the Eastern products were replaced with western. It was also interesting to read the divide between north and south Germany because I just didn't know much about it. I did realize though, that Bavarians had strong pride for their region, so to an extent it makes sense that there would be likes and dislikes towards other regions in Germany.
